Business Culture Development

Psychological Safety is not the Answer.
Members Actually Need "Internal Safety"

External safety creates dependency;
Internal safety fosters independence.
"Psychological safety" is a buzzword gaining traction in the corporate world—but there are unforseen risks. Relying too heavily on external safety measures can lead to fragile teams that depend on their environment or facilitators to function.
At BEMi, our training focuses on developing internal safety—empowering individuals to manage fear, speak assertively, and take action on their own. True safety isn’t something provided from the outside. It’s built from within.

BEMi helps passive teams within companies to confidently express themselves!
In the workplace, assertiveness is particularly crucial when facing unprepared or unexpected situations. The true barrier to assertiveness isn't skills or language—it's fear. BEMi supports teams and companies in overcoming this fear, helping them naturally find their voice.
As experts with over 15 years of experience in the field of assertiveness, we have partnered with various clients to build exceptional teams. Together with BEMi, let's conquer the fear of silence and create teams that speak up with confidence.
The Common Definition of "Assertive" is Wrong! The typical definition of assertiveness is often said to be about respecting oneself while also respecting others. However, this is incorrect. Why is the common definition of assertiveness wrong? The explanation is simple. If someone believes that you voicing your opinion is rude, who can truly judge whether you were respectful or not? Assertiveness isn't about respect; it's about honestly expressing your thoughts, even if it makes others uncomfortable.
